After six beta weekends, Icarus v1.0 was released globally on 3rd December and it quickly shot up the Steam charts, reaching 34,000 concurrent players and beating out the likes of Battlefield 2042, if only for a few hours. This is the current map, the yellow is approximately where the surface connections are (yellow for the sun shining through), the black and white is just inverted heightmap(blacks are coloumns of stone connecting to both the floor and the ceiling). in a live-wired cave and a Kill List Extermination have a scavenge of Icaruss. The latest game from the brains behind DayZ, sandbox survival game, Icarus, is now out. So basicly that, a cavernal map, lore wise, maybe a hidden community, a grean-grey paradise unaffected of the war up til this point. These cracks would most likely trap a ship, that tried to pass through, but daring patains might find, that not all ships are the same with. Cracks in the cave ceiling would also provide sunlight, shining through in rays. The two layers would be connected by large holes in the surface terrain, where even larger ships than the magnate would be able to descend to the community living below. Known as Outposts, these prospects can be dropped into and exited at any time, making them perfect for starting a settlement, hanging out. Situated on Icarus’s equator is a thin line of prospects, synchronized with the orbit of the Orbital Stations. They offer a more permanent Icarus experience, while still enabling prospector to practice the skills they need to thrive during more dangerous encounters.Located in the Arctic or Forest Biomes, outposts constitute 1 square kilometer of space. Your Outpost is a permanent map with no time limit and limited dangers, ideal for building. Narrow passages, where a mobula would only dream passing through, shallow gaps, where a spire or galleon would need to find a longer way around. Outposts are permanent settlements available to prospectors. Below the surface stratches an extensive cave system, with varying terrain. This would make it possible to cover great distances in little time compared to the underground caverns. Above the surface regular and large dust clouds, making it dangerous to linger, but providing no meaningful hard cover or substantial landmarks to go around.
